Veneers vs Direct Bonding
Both veneers and direct bonding can not only be used to fix damaged or broken teeth, but they can also be used to improve the look of healthy teeth. The difference between the two is the material used. Veneers are thin shells made of porcelain and are bonded onto the front surface of the teeth while direct bonding attaches regular composite filling material to the front surface of the teeth.
Porcelain veneers are much stronger than composite resin veneers, and will not change colour or stain. These properties are the reason porcelain veneers are considered a more long-term treatment than direct composite bonding. Porcelain also transmits light in a way that matches natural tooth properties allowing the veneers to look more natural and seamless with your other teeth.

Bleaching

White Spot Removal
A common aesthetic issue for many of our patients is visible white spots on their teeth. These white spots can give teeth a mottled and uneven appearance. Bleaching will not remove these white spots and so in the past, many dentists believed the only solution was to place veneers onto the patient’s teeth to cover the spots. Now, there is a revolutionary new treatment called Resin Infiltration. This allows us to either completely remove or reduce the appearance of these white spots without drilling into the patients teeth. It is extremely conservative while still being incredibly effective!
